TWO Sheffield football fans were back home last night after being attacked and stabbed by European soccer hooligans as they prepared to watch a pre-season 'friendly' game in Holland.
The incident has been blamed on Continental hooligans looking for trouble before Sheffield United played a game against Sparta Rotterdam, though some United fans accepted their invitation to fight.
Around 400 Blades fans had travelled to Holland to support the team on a pre-season tour and many were drinking in bars when trouble erupted.
